WASHINGTON - The White House said it was not prepared to withdraw President Joe Biden’s pick for budget director, Neera Tanden, whose nomination stalled on Capitol Hill on Wednesday after controversy over tweets that upset lawmakers.
“Neera Tanden is a leading policy expert who brings critical qualifications to the table during this time of unprecedented crisis,” his press secretary, Jen Psaki, wrote on Twitter. White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain told MSNBC “we’re fighting our guts out” to get Tanden confirmed but if the effort fails, “we will find some other place for her to serve the administration that doesn’t require Senate confirmation.”
Republican Senators Susan Collins and Mitt Romney both cited concerns that Tanden, 50, would be too divisive to lead the Office of Management and Budget which manages the $4 trillion federal budget. Tanden has made critical comments on Twitter about Republicans and Democrats, and in 2016 about Manchin’s daughter, the chief executive of pharmaceutical firm Mylan, after the company raised prices for its anti-allergy EpiPen.

Isn't it ironic that Republican's are concerned about mean tweets all of a sudden. For the past 4 years they said they never had the time to read the Trump mean tweets.
I note that she 'dared' to criticize Israel's Bibi the liar, and that's a no-no for the bipartisan plants and bots on the Israeli Likunik lobby payroll in the US congress, those who can't keep from trying to hijack the US foreign policy on its behalf.

Considering the deplorable nominees put forth by the former guy, I’m surprised at all the hoopla over Ms. Tanden. At least, she’s qualified.
