On Monday, federal police took aggressive actions against peaceful protesters near the White House.

While defending aggressive action taken by federal police to disperse a crowd of peaceful protesters near the White House Monday to allow President Trump to take a picture in front of nearby St. John's Church, press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday denied tear gas was used and compared the photo-op to Winston Churchill inspecting bombing damage during World War II and President George W. Bush throwing out the first pitch at a New York Yankees game after 9/11....

While the protests have been mostly peaceful—stretching nationwide and internationally in cities like Paris and Montreal—McEnany and Trump have mainly focused on incidents of looting. But the clearing of the park has proved heavily criticized, including by the bishop who oversees St. John's Church, Mariann Edgar Budde, who toldthat Trump"did not seek to unify the country, but rather he used our symbols and our sacred space as a way to reinforce a message that is antithetical to everything that the person of Jesus, whom we follow, and the gospel texts that we strive to emulate...represent.

Stay in the bunker

Not even close, All of America cheered Bush - he lead and brought a nation together at a time the nation needed a symbol of hope. tRump so far has failed to do the same, he could have had people of all faiths and races with him, prayed, listened then took a pic.

This simply isn’t accurate. Another distortion of what actually was said.

Comparing Trump’s church photo op to Churchill’s inspection of London after Luftwaffe bombings during the Blitz, which leveled city blocks and killed thousands, is ridiculous & pathetic. They don’t have moral or political ground on this and the Press Sec’s remarks reflect that.

Photo op:

And?

PressSec as GretaThunberg says: 'How dare you!' to compare your sack of sht BunkerTwittler safeSPOTinspector realDonaldTrump to Churchill? In common they have just language, even there cant remember Churchill typing in capital letters on official statements and attacking UK

Don’t even think about comparing asshole trump to Roosevelt, Churchill or even bush.

A perfect example of selected amnesia in the flesh
