Sen. Joe Manchin is in favor of lowering the income threshold for those receiving $14,000 relief checks.

Sanders, Warren Call on Harris to Override Parliamentarian on $15 Wage HikeThe House bill bases the stimulus checks on the same income criteria as the previous two checks.

Individuals earning an adjusted gross income of up to $75,000, heads of households earning up to $125,000 and married couples filing jointly who earn up to $150,000 would receive the full payment, according to CNBC. However, those earning higher incomes will see lower payments as the checks are phased out and those surpassing the income threshold would receive nothing. The bill's income thresholds for checks are $100,000 for an individual, $150,000 for heads of households and $200,000 for married couples.and has said his staff have been talking to Democratic leaders about changes to the relief bill that would make its provisions more"targeted.
