Alabama's Nick Saban when asked if the 12-team playoff is the fix to the college football postseason: “What’s broke?” More from Saban's Sugar Bowl press conference:

Good morning from foggy New Orleans where Nick Saban will give his final remarks before Saturday’s Sugar Bowl. His game day eve news conference is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. CT.-- Saban starts by wishing everyone a happy new year.-- Saban said Kansas State is playing as well as anyone in the country to end the season with a win over playoff-bound TCU in the Big 12 title game.

-- Asked about the prep for this game, Saban said this is a rare circumstance to not have a playoff game on the horizon. It’s a challenge to refocus for this scenario but said his players have the right disposition. Last night he said this was the best non-playoff bowl prep they’ve had since he’s been at Alabama.-- “What’s broke?” Saban responds when asked if the 12-team playoff is the fix to the postseason.

-- Fans relate to players and if they don’t have a commitment to a team, that will be an issue moving forward, Saban said.
