How do you define it in your legislation, and what would educators be banned from teaching? A representative for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has been particularly vocal in the “culture wars” regarding critical race theory, defined the concept as “an ideology rooted in identity-based Marxism.” They added, “No one should be stereotyped based on the color of their skin. It’s appalling that children are being divided into ‘oppressor’ and ‘oppressed’ categories anywhere, and it won’t happen in Florida.” Sure.
The problem with this article: 1. It doesn't really explain the SPECIFIC details of CRT 2. It largely tells us what ignorant Repubs think instead 3. A lot of it is selected quotes followed by sarcastic one liners, and hardly an attempt to refute what was said

None of These Republicans Trying To Ban 'Critical Race Theory' Seem To Actually Be Able To Define ItA politician proposing legislation on an issue they're wholly uninformed about? Shocking, I know! That's just something CRT proponents say when their precious ideology is threatened. There are many perfectly-good ways to define CRT, and it does not need to satisfy its proponents. But don't act like CRT reading material isn't available to the public.
