WESTLAKE, Ohio -- Westlake Porter Public Library officials have learned that there are no “weaknesses or deficiencies in the library’s financial management and record-keeping,” according to its 2022 audit.
Library Director Andrew Mangels notes, “This continues the library’s longstanding record of successful audits.” “Our finance department works very hard to make sure the library is a good steward of the funds entrusted to us by the community, and the rest of the staff do a great job following the fiscal procedures finance has put in place,” Mangels said.In other news, the library is seeking two new trustees for its board.
“They also serve as the best advocates for why a public library is so important. Moreover, with their combined knowledge, personal experiences and perspectivel they help guide our library to being one of -- if not the best -- library in the nation.”
