Anyone traveling solo or as a couple would be a fool to book an AirBNB over a hotel. The hotel is cheaper, better, and entails less stress than even the “best” AirBNB.

I have used Airbnbs for year's and I have never booked a ace that made me clean I have a total of 42 rentals all over the world and not one host asked me to do anything out of the ordinary it takes 30 seconds to pull the sheets and I pay half price to stay in places like these

This is just bullshit. Any company with this many hosts signing up is going to have outliers. Airbnb is a phenomenal platform. And sure, if you want to rent my Annapolis Airbnb for more than a week, I need you to take the trash cans to the curb on Mon night and back in on Tues.

I host two Airbnb properties and detest the hosts who give their guests a chore chart even though they charge a cleaning fee. And admittedly, I travel every week but rarely stay at airbnb's. Many hosts are awful.
Yes, my last experience at an AirBnB style self check in short stay apartment has made me rethink the viability of the whole concept. I am not sure I want to stay in another (and I am already booked in one for December).

The $ABNB value proposition is upside down and while most people haven’t caught up to this en masse they are getting there. Slowly but surely people are realizing that for that extra space these places are non-cancelable, non-changeable and kill you with hidden fees and “work.”

Was getting ready to book a 2br/1ba cottage on VRBO and didn't pull the trigger with $300 cleaning fee for four nights plus all the other added fees. High end hotel nearby ended up being cheaper plus has restaurant, bar and pool.
