'We need to act now': Biden admin unveils plan to address the nation's wildfire crisis

Confronting the Wildfire Crisis: A Strategy for Protecting Communities and Improving Resilience in America's ForestsAreas considered at high risk for wildfires, mostly on the West Coast, will be first in line for the plan's implementation, the Department of Agriculture said. However, the plan will also be implemented throughout the South, Midwest and Northeast.

"Wildfires in the United States have reached a crisis level," Arizona Senator Mark Kelly said Tuesday at a compiled by the National Centers for Environmental Information, 58,733 fires burned more than 7 million acres in 2021 alone, for an average 121.56 acres burned per fire. Last year's rate is the eighth highest on record.

"The mega fires that we've been experiencing aren't like anything we've seen before," Kelly said."Today's fires — they burn hotter and they burn longer and they can easily reach temperatures in the thousands of degrees. They scar the landscape and that can take years to recover and we know that they're also deadly."

Joe Biden faces renewed calls on MLK Day to end federal death penaltyDeath penalty opponents will gather outside the Supreme Court to call for the passage of the Federal Death Penalty Prohibition Act. It's probably those pesky 'pro-lifers', right? I know we all probably might have heard about Bitcoin but don't know how it works, I tried it in a week ago by a man who recommended me to Derrick_Jones39 on Twitter he guides me through and i made a return of $10500 after a week of trading, connect with him Personally, I'd prefer that they repeal the death penalty after the perps involved in the conspiracy to overthrow the United States Government have been sentenced, and the sentences have been carried out (if you know what I mean). Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Jill Biden: I didn't expect 'healing role' as first ladyHer husband campaigned to help unite the country, but Jill Biden says “healing” a nation wounded by a deadly pandemic, natural and other disasters and deep political polarization is among her chief roles as first lady, too. Wrapping up a year in which she saw herself as a key member of President Joe Biden's team, the first lady told The Associated Press that she found herself taking on a role that 'I didn't kind of expect, which was like a healing role, because we’ve faced so much as a nation.” Jill Biden spoke sitting in the sunshine near a swimming pool at a Las Vegas hotel a day after she and the president comforted families in Louisville, Colorado, where a huge swath of homes burned to the ground in a late December wildfire. Ah, timing of this story. This only matters if there's a stellar job being performed in both arenas... She's not healing anything...
