Since when is asking to show a receipt racist. You walk out of a store without a product in a bag, expect to be asked to show proof of purchase, regardless of your race. I’m white and I’ve been asked to see my receipt numerous times, and I showed it without bitching.

Well it sounds a bit weird, the guy is saying I’ll pay for it and the lady saying we paid already... then the receipt read out is unclear. Seems like a fair question to ask for a receipt rather than creating this drama over a ball and a little bit of fame.

What I see is a manager trying to prevent someone from possibly stealing an item from their store by asking to see the receipt. You will then see the accused start a fight, instead of simply complying with the request. This has nothing to do with race. No line was really crossed.
