The Taliban and delegates appointed by Afghanistan's government have opened much-anticipated negotiations for the first time aimed at ending decades of war.

His nuclear diplomacy with North Korea finished for the moment, Secretary of State Michael R.

Among the government-appointed negotiators are four women, who have vowed to preserve women’s rights in any power-sharing deal with the hard-line Taliban. This includes the right to work, education and participation in political life, all denied to women when the Taliban ruled Afghanistan for five years.

At the opening ceremonies, there was sign of changes in some of the Taliban’s attitudes. Several Taliban representatives jostled to take photographs of leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar as he addressed the ceremony. Photography was banned during the Taliban rule as being against Islam. Both sides will be “peace heroes” if negotiations bring about a lasting peace that protects Afghanistan’s independence and leads to a system based on Islamic principles that preserves the rights of all people, Abdullah said.

Its about time they want to shift to being positive. This would help with their country to be reunited and do good. It looks like they have achieved peace and are not dealing with violence, fights, killings, etc....

Notice any people missing from this picture?

Don’t you have news to report about BLM terrorists blocking the emergency room and about two officers being shot You were all over Floyd and other criminals Compton

And not coincidentally occurring right around 9/11.....

I guess women are not allowed in that meeting.
