Tesla owner is the first to face felony charges for deadly Autopilot crashThe first criminal case involving the driver assist system. Yeah he should be charged. AP is full self driving, and provides services from on ramp to exit ramp - where it should handoff back to the driver on the exit ramp and they should be ready to take over. However the car should have stopped automatically instead of running the red. The driver of a vehicle should be responsible for injuries or death related to driving that vehicle, whether automatic or human-driven, the driver is responsible for driving the car.
