New Mexico officials are offering grocery stores, retailers and other essential businesses a way to avoid shutdowns when workers become infected with Covid-19: regularly test all employees.
Supermarkets, big-box retailers and hotels that pay for regular testing and contact tracing of their workers will be exempt from two-week shutdowns the state has imposed on stores with infected employees as cases rise. What Walmart in my town of Batesville AR needs to do is enforce their mask wearing that they did at first. They have are not doing it with it on the rise and I will avoid them as much as I can and order more from places that delivers to my home.
Since a positive can't be detected until about 3 days after exposure, I'm not sure how well this approach is going to help curb the spread.😕
