Cincinnati-based Macy's said it had net income of $2 million, or 1 cent a share, in the quarter, down sharply from $62 million, or 20 cents a share, in the year-earlier period. Adjusted per-share earnings came to 7 cents, ahead of the FactSet consensus for breakeven. Sales fell to $5.173 billion from $5.
