LONDON — A British politician who accuses the government of blackmailing opponents of Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he will take his allegations to the police. William Wragg, a lawmaker from the governing Conservative Party, said legislators calling for a challenge to Johnson’s leadership have faced “intimidation” that amounted to “blackmail.” He alleged that rebellious lawmakers had been threatened with a loss of public funding for their constituencies and had had embarrassing stories about them leaked to the press.

A handful of Conservative lawmakers, including Wragg, have called for him to resign, while others are awaiting a report by Sue Gray, a senior civil servant appointed to investigate the “partygate” claims. Her findings are expected to be published next week.

ITV says: UK investigation finds email warning lockdown party should not go aheadAn investigation into Downing Street parties has found an email from a senior official to Prime Minister Boris Johnson's private secretary warning that a May 20, 2020 party should not go ahead, ITV's political editor said on Thursday. Who’s conducting this investigation? Sue Grey or Paul Brand? As an 'investigation' that tries to somehow shield Boris goes on, I think one or more of advisors/secretaries might get thrown under the bus. He can just say that the warnings never reached him.

Doctor Visiting Georgia From England Killed in Bed by Stray Bullet31-year-old Dr. Matthew Wilson, who was visiting the Atlanta area from England, was fatally shot while lying in bed in the middle of the night in what police called “a random act involving individuals participating in the reckless discharge of firearm.” Why the hell haven’t they arrested anybody? Talk of a random stray bullet is similar to the language used when ‘a car mounts the kerb’ and kills pedestrians. There are humans propelling these bullets, but the police call it ‘random’!
