Why would a reporter ask a parent such a thing? It is not up to them. They are helpless, and praying for a miracle to bring back their son. And here comes someone who wants a sound bite, who has absolutely no influence on the outcome, opening wounds and giving false hope. Nasty. Damn what a messed up situation.
