Hong Kong Is Losing Its Charm for Expats as China Tightens the ScrewsThe city’s expatriate community is shrinking, as new restrictions by China on speech and political activities and a tumultuous year of protests have diminished the allure of living and working in the Asian financial hub. This is what China wants too. And the day ain’t far when China will fully integrate Hong Kong w/ mainland China, this causing Hong Kongers to face the same level of surveillance as mainlanders. Shares of Tencent plunge almost 7% after Trump issues executive order on TikTok and WeChatShares of Hong Kong-listed Tencent plunged nearly 7% by Friday afternoon after U.S. President Donald Trump issued executive orders targeting Chinese apps WeChat and TikTok. . WeChat has been poisoning our fellow Americans esp. Chinese ethnic Americans. . CCP China has been exploiting WeChat, to spread anti American messages among them, e.g. Chinese Americans in China Town. . Wish we had a president like this in my small, democratic country in the heart of Europe, instead of one who rather takes side with the Chinese Communist Party. realDonaldTrump Interesting how many of his tweets and actions are aimed at listed companies. Some of his friends must be making a fortune.
