[+]: Since President Donald Trump first mentioned the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine at a press briefing on March 19, U.S. poison centers across the country have seen an uptick in cases of people abusing the prescription drug as a would-be treatment for the coronavirus.from the American Association of Poison Control Centers, the number of hydroxychloroquine exposure cases more than doubled from March 18 to April 6 compared to the same period last year.
