TV meteorologist Adam Klotz says he was attacked by a group of teens on subway in Chelsea

-- Violence on the subway turned deadly over the weekend, and police are investigating a separate attack on a TV meteorologist riding a train in In a video posted to Instagram, Klotz said a group of teenagers attacked him Saturday night on a 1 train. He said it happened after he told them to stop harassing an older man.

"I was like, yo guys, cut that out, and they decided, alright, if he's not going to get it, then you're going to get it. And, boy did they give it to me," said Klotz. Other commuters told CBS2 they think subway violence is a concern. "There's definitely times when I feel not so safe," said Lara Sarubbi.'s latest statistics, year-to-date transit crimes in the city are down about 27 percent. But that was not the case over the weekend.

At around 8 p.m. Sunday, police said a 70-year-old train dispatcher was attacked while on her break. She was hospitalized after being punched in the face on a platform at Hudson Yards. On Friday, an argument at the 96th Street station on the Upper West Side turned deadly. According to police, 28-year-old Andre Boyce pushed a man onto the tracks during a fight. Officers got the man, 34, to safety before a train arrived, but he died of injuries from the fall. "One crime is too many, and so continuing to work with our partners in NYPD to get out and patrol the system," said NYC Transit President Richard Davey.
