The former president is described as 'gleeful' in planning revenge on those he considers disloyal, according to Karl's book. He looks back on Jan. 6 'fondly,' 'and believes that if events just had played out a little differently, he’d still be president.'

Jonathan Karl's new book "Betrayal," released Tuesday, documents the historic presidential election, unprecedented claims of fraud, the January insurrection at the U.S. Capitol and the stirrings of the novel COVID-19 virus that marked the final days of former President Donald Trump's presidency.

"If I was still there, I would call the Cabinet and start talking about the Twenty-Fifth Amendment," Kelly said of the amendment that effectively forces a sitting president out of the job. McEntee would soon become known as the "deputy president," according to a senior Trump official, for heavily vetting personnel for loyalty to Trump and for assisting him in efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.Tulsa rally and the 'COVID-mobile'

According to Karl, a senior adviser said, "There was a car of three staffers who had tested positive that drove all the way from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Washington, DC. We called it a COVID-mobile." Before the now-infamous call between Trump and Georgia officials, when the president pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find" votes, the White House used a phone number reserved for media calls to try to get ahold of the state’s top election official.

When Trump brought in acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen for his potential firing, the president reversed course when he learned senior leaders at the Justice Department would resign rather than work for Clark.

Trump is trouble. He sat in his office laughing carrying on watching it all, never interceding. He loves chaos. The guy is nuts

Loudone25 He’d be “presiding” over a bloody civil war, though. If only the average “nice” GOP voters could just have enough self respect to eject him, the whole country would improve.

Rumor has it trump is already looking into properties with no extradition to the US. He knows his days as a free man are coming to an end in our democracy. I hear the weather in Russia is great for his orange skin!

If i was him, my revenge would include an A-K.

BETTER TIME SPENT WOULD BE THAT HE FINDS A COUNTRY WITH NO EXTRADITION.

Yup, if only they would of hung........... ........!

I don't think he paid attention to our history too well. WE as a nation aren't into people trying to steal it from us.

Consider this; had events played out a little differently, he never would have been president !

He needs a psychologist..

Trump urges appeals court to limit Jan. 6 committee's access to his White House documentsA major question in the dispute is how much authority a former president has to assert executive privilege. That would be a possibly effective argument if the circumstances were 'normal'. The man attempted a coup. That makes ANY argument of 'privilege' moot. He hasn’t been in office in 10 months and the news still relies on him for clicks and comments, so pathetic, just wait, there will be more videos of mr sleepy passing out and lib(cantsaygotbanned) will talk about no success, lol No it’s not a “major question”. It’s really easy, and Trump is grasping for invisible straws.
