Trump tweets that his supporters 'will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way' after many of them attempted a violent coup at the Capitol

, President Donald Trump was back on his preferred social media platform on Friday morning with a defense of his supporters.

Thursday night calling the capitol siege a "heinous attack" and that those involved "will pay," he defended his supporters in his return to Twitter on Friday."The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future," the president tweeted.
