North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper told the Republican National Committee on Tuesday that he couldn’t guarantee that the state could hold a “full” convention in Charlotte in August, prompting President Trump to again threaten to move the gathering to another state.
“Governor Cooper is still in Shelter-In-Place Mode, and not allowing us to occupy the arena as originally anticipated and promised,” Mr. Trump wrote on Twitter. “We are now forced to seek another State to host the 2020 Republican National Convention.”
