Trump administration to provide $16 billion in aid to farmers hurt by trade war, USDA chief says

President Donald Trump is expected to unveil a $16 billion aid package for American farmers who have been hurt by the U.S. trade war with China.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue confirmed Thursday the plan's centerpiece would be a $16 billion aid program intended to help mitigate the impact of decreased agricultural purchases from China, one of the consequences of the current impasse in trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing. "Details on the new trade mitigation program will be forthcoming shortly, but we want to be clear that the program is being designed to avoid skewing planting decisions one way or another," USDA said in a statement Tuesday.

Field O'Trump

The Trump Doctrine...Crisis created...Crisis averted. And we’re the smucks who foot the bill.

Thought democrats were the socialist...guess I was wrong

You mean tax payers and me I have seen many farmers not even gather their crops just let them die and turn in a loss I have see. It too many times

Ok so the U.S. will borrow from China to finance trade war with China

Ah, the free market!

This is the what - the second or third time he’s thrown money to save farmers? His policies are failing them, and this trade war is only exacerbating the problem. Frankly, they get what they deserve if they vote him in again. It’s common sense.

Please get it correct. Trump administration gives taxpayers' money to farmers again

You mean we taxpayers will pay this because of Trumps over aggressive tarriffs!!

I thought their types didn’t agree with handouts? Can somebody explain?

Americans paying added $ via the tariffs R now funding Farm bailouts rather than having the farmers maintain their markets & incomes via export sales. A terrific strategy 4 sure. Lost markets may never be regained & over time importers will move supply points eliminating tariff $

Are those billions tariff income from China, Trump? or Our tax dollars?

Socialist move to garner votes. 2nd hand out because of Trumps actions.

Republicans cheer for socialist bailouts that 0% ROI

Socialism at work

Danm it anit only the farmer hurting from this trade war, why don’t just give us all a $1000 check every month

This is how the coward lead the so call super power of the world 🤣🤣🤣

If government is subsidizing farming to the tune of $16B, they are tipping the playing field unfairly to their trading partners.

Lol, this is just started, You wait and see the carnage. People don’t realize how the the entire world is connected.

Farmers are again being bailed out for a second year which other countries correctly call subsidies. This welfare style bailout is paid for by the rest of American Taxpayers. How long can American Taxpayers continue with bailouts especially given the Farmers vote for Trump. 2020.

Worth every penny!

I will become a farmer 👩‍🌾 now...this guy is a straight bozo

What happened to capitalism?

Très bonne nouvelle

Based on GOP logic, shouldn't they just pull themselves up by their bootstraps?🤔

But sOSHilizM is bahhhhd. Eh POTUS?

The chaos Trump created and now we the tax payers are paying for it.

only a real dope like drumph screws up the trade economy and then tries to buy off the people he screws over.

So farmers get more tax payer subsidies.

They’re not farmers. They’re corporate owned farms.

Do whatever is necessary but don't back down from allowing China stealing IP and or demanding handover of IP.

Gentil le tit trump Fran08641118

Not only do we have to pay for the tariff's. We have to pay the farmer's. The winning is so much. It hurts. 😂

BuT tHaTs SoCiALiSm

They. Don't. Want. Handouts. They are farmers, they like working the land they own. Farmers fail, y'all are going 2 see a crash. Then the greedy fucks on Wall Street will be happy. Well, the 20%. Rest of ya might be trying 2 open windows, that can't be opened.

If you keeping your hardly earned crypto currency on exchange or online, you are playing a dangerous game. If you like to sleep well and not to worry , get a Ledger Nano X now at discounted price.

More Cheese...Chinese Cheese that is...

Subsidies. Has been going on forever.

Wasting our money.

Great negotiator

I do not support socialism in any form. This is disgraceful.

American farmers are smarter than Trump GOP. They will remember.

So much winning

A

That won't even cover half if what they have lost by the time every one gets their hands in it before it reaches the farmers it will only be a few million

Trump doing what he said he would do. What a concept. What are the Dems doing for the good of the country? I’ll wait...

Good, it's about time we start taking money from the scumbags in the cities and giving it to the good people of the country instead of vice versa.

Aid = socialism Republican rules.

As Trump escalates China trade dispute, economic ties lose stabilizing force in matters of national securityTensions could extend beyond the trade sphere and impact other areas of contention between Washington and Beijing. Very true. It is not about no tariffs but to be strategic and timely. Trump is off these two principles by miles. Good faith was given to China reform and the hope is fading. Appearances point to continued escalation. We may in fact see a currency manipulator designation by USTreasury as soon as China's eventually counter-acts with currency policy. ooo.. itu tho akibatnya
