Unfortunately GeorgiaAquarium is too busy printing money to even think about the horrible losses of beluga and whale sharks they've had since opening.
That is a tragic and abusive entrapment of an animal that should NEVER be in a controlled environment. In order to survive and strive, whale sharks MUST migrate from warm waters to cold waters. The aquarium's capture of that animal, killed her! They should be held accountable!
How will they dispose of the body?
The Whale Shark, like Orcas, should never be in captivity for mans pleasure. Truly disgusting.
This wasn’t the first whale shark that has died. I recall at least 3 others? The shark exhibit had so many sharks when it opened, but when I visited a few months later, hardly any. They just keep buying more, I guess.

so sad and damn angry, cant do anything!! Captivity kills these magnificent creatures, but in the wild humans kill them by overfishing or polluting the sea!¹

This is the saddest moment of my entire life. I remember seeing Trixie for the first time when I was 8. Rest in peace.
