is one of the most recognizable cars from muscle’s golden era thanks to its quad headlights, simple rectangular grille and broad nose-to-tail stripes. And 52 years later, it’s back, though some modern Camaros may have been harmed in the process.

, has decided to resurrect the classic Super Sport Chevelle by following a similar recipe, calling the result the 70/SS., Trans Am Worldwide gives buyers three different power options, the base motor being a 6.2-litre LT1 V8 that channels 450 hp to the rear wheels via a choice of a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.

Other options include brake and wheel upgrades and a removable hardtop, but it looks like a vinyl bench seat and column gear shifter are out. In fact the interior is fundamentally unchanged, though a new transmission shifter, vintage-style stitching patterns on the upholstery, and some stylish retro dials are nice touches, as are the old-fashioned door handles you’ll have to deal with to get into the car.
