Photo: ABC News Jamie Lynn Spears is speaking out again. In a January 12 interview with ABC News anchor Juju Chang, Jamie Lynn talked about her relationship with her older sister, clarifying her involvement in Britney Spears’s conservatorship, and … promoted a new book? “It was really important to me to, first off, honor my voice,” she said, explaining why she decided to write her forthcoming book, Things I Should Have Said.
Yes, Jamie Lynn talked about Britney’s conservatorship. When talking about her involvement with Britney’s conservatorship, Jamie Lynn painted a different picture than Britney has previously described. Saying she has never held any kind of financial control over Britney’s estate, unlike her father, Jamie Lynn added that she even tried to help dissolve the conservatorship.
Then, Britney responded to Jamie Lynn’s GMA interview, which turned into a back-and-forth on Instagram. Britney, it seems, is having none of her sister’s GMA interview. On Thursday, she took to Twitter to make a statement about the situation, expressing disgust with her family and suggesting that Jamie Lynn was using her conservatorship struggles to “sell a book at my expense.” On Instagram, Jamie Lynn responded with a lengthy statement of her own.
Jamie Lynn appeared to respond on Instagram, posting a vague message to her stories that read, “Nobody trashes your name more than someone who’s afraid you’ll tell people the truth.” Things seemed to settle down after that, but it wasn’t long before Britney once again took to Twitter to set the record straight.
Jamie Lynn said she was “so sad” when the two broke up in 2002, adding, “I think everyone thought it was forever.” She said she’s unsure why they broke up but implied that Britney and Timberlake both released breakup anthems in the wake of their split. Britney & Jamie Lynn exchange letters from their lawyers. On January 18, the same day part one of Jamie Lynn’s Call Her Daddy episode premiered, “Page Six” obtained a cease and desist order Britney’s legal team sent to Jamie Lynn. “We write with some hesitation because the last thing Britney wants is to bring more attention to your ill-timed book and its misleading or outrageous claims about her,” the letter states.
Part 2 of Jamie Lynn’s interview is released. Part 2 of Jamie Lynn’s podcast interview was released as planned on Thursday, January 20. In the episode, Jamie Lynn directly pushed back against Britney’s claims that she had never tried to help her sister get out of the conservatorship. According to Jamie Lynn, she began contacting Britney’s lawyer as well as “judges” she knew personally after Britney told her she didn’t want to be in a conservatorship during a family trip to Hawaii.
But this was issued a whole year before. So either she was completely stupid or she was 'acting' helpful. Also it's been proven James was reading all of her messages and quite possibly could have deleted them before brit ever saw them.
