O'Brien said the president's CIA briefer made the "right call" in not verbally briefing him on the Russian bounty operation.

Washington — National security adviser Robert O'Brien said Wednesday that the senior career CIA officer who briefs President Trump in person made the decision not to verbally brief him on intelligence about a Russian scheme to offer bounties targeting American troops in Afghanistan, saying she lacked confidence in the veracity of the intelligence.

"We get raw intelligence and tactical intelligence every day, hundreds of pieces of intelligence come in every day, thousands of pieces of intelligence come in a week," he said."She made that call and, you know what, I think she made the right call, so I'm not going to criticize her. And knowing the facts that I know now, I stand behind that call."

Story continuesWhite House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters Tuesday the president has since been briefed"on what is unfortunately in the public domain." "The DOD came out and said as soon as we had this information, we made sure that we had tactics in place, that we took protective measures, to look after our soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in Afghanistan. That hasn't been reported. That was done right," he said.

Does anyone really believe anything coming out of this WH?

Another lie by our anything but journalists/ MSM.

Yet everyone on Twitter has known since at least Sunday, are we all more informed than trump? Wtf are they even trying to say? At the very least he's known for days, and his response is to say 'hoax...told ya noone told me'

Booooooooooooollsheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Trump lied. Americans died.

Oh, yeah, another version, this time blaming the CIA again. It's almost as if a person in a position of great power years ago reached the emotional maturity of The Terrible Twos, decided 'Why bother making life easier for anyone else?', and terrorized anyone not praising him.

So the CIA is more powerful than the president. Got it. We found the real deep state, you crazies.

That's a lie.

Somebody is a big fat liar.
