Alaska musicians will be featured at local bars and clubs as well as at various fine arts venues throughout Anchorage.

With a week left before the Thanksgiving break, this weekend offers a number of auditory options. A pair of Alaska bands hit the stage at Williwaw on Friday with Blackwater Railroad and Wiley Post. Advance tickets are $15 and $20 at the door.Billed as chamber music with a twist, this show includes over 50 musicians from the Anchorage Symphony performing works by Strauss and Dvorak among others. Tickets start at $35.

This 2nd-annual event is a celebration of Black excellence and culture and not meant to be a costume party. There is dancing, fashion, speakers including Calvin Martyr from The Blackout Coalition and entertainment from Mayanna Cash. General admission is $50 with other seating and table options available.This annual party is a great opportunity for putting on your favorite all-white outfit.
