Bugatti has begun testing the La Voiture Noire, which is one of the most expensive new cars ever sold. The company has built just one example of the 1,479-horsepower 2-seater, which sold to an unidentified buyer for $19 million.

It’s a Chiron underneath The Black Car uses most of the running gear of the Bugatti Chiron. It’s built into a one-off body designed as a tribute to the 1936 Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, which was the fastest road-legal car of its own time. It has a 16-cylinder engine La Voiture Noire uses an 8.0-liter W16 engine with four superchargers , sending power to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission.

0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds Performance numbers haven’t been released, but La Voiture Noire is a Bugatti Chiron in a unique body. That car gets from 0 to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds and claims a top speed of 261 mph. The Black Car likely manages similar numbers, or some anonymous buyer has every right to be very upset. They could have saved $16.2 million by buying a Chiron instead.

What a waste a Tesla plaid model S would kick its butt

If you spent 19M on a car you’re a fucking idiot

Just for only one share of $gme after the coming MOASS? GMESqueeze

And it's still slower than the Plaid Model S

Barric_Tooker It’s a car FFS

Hope it gets hit by a Yugo.

Why I don't get it.

A) Not new. Came out last year, delivered to owner after world tour. B) How is Ken Griffin doing? Still a sociopath on a crash course with his own destruction?

Barric_Tooker Creepy how the internet tracks my purchasing history
