When I was an assistant manager years ago, I loved it.
How are ya going to make any money if ya don't underpay? C'mon.
It can be a job in hell in a department store if the employees from the stock boy, the janitor, the salesclerks, and the department supervisors and sometimes, even the manager do not respect your authority as the assistant manager.
Their job is miserable because they have to “pitch in” on the jobs their underlings do all day for even less money?
