Why is this a problem? Rap and hip hop is the biggest genre in the world, it is dominated by men because mostly men listen to it and like it. That's not to say women can't like it, or make hip hop music, that's just the statistic.

Bit one sided though, considering you only count artists of one or a similar style of music (Pop/Hip-Hop/Dance), if you included every genre and artists that write original material (and don’t sample other songs) the this would be totally different.
