The barbeque-loving middle-of-the-map metropolis has grown into a buzzing live music hotspot that is also known the world over for its storied place in jazz history. VisitMO ad

all that Missouri has to offer

Below, you’ll get to know a few of the people and places that make the “City of Fountains” a premier travel destination for any music fan in search of an unforgettable live show. The origin story of Knuckleheads reads kind of like a folktale. It all started when owner Frank Hicks moved his collision repair shop from Columbus Park to the East Bottoms back in 1969. Eventually, Hicks bought up more property in the area and converted an old railroad boarding house into a motorcycle shop.

Established in 1997, the American Jazz Museum is home to exhibits, programs and countless artifacts spanning back over a century in the genre’s tradition. Among those treasures are a Grafton saxophone played by Charlie Parker, handwritten correspondence from John Coltrane, a gown worn by Ella Fitzgerald, and more. On display in the museum’s Changing Gallery this May through July will be a set of rare photographs of Billie Holiday. There’s also the John H.

VisitMO KC's music scene is great, but note that VisitMO PAID to publish this. I would rather my tax dollars go to getting more Missourians vaccinated against COVID19. Have you even uttered the words 'Delta variant,' GovParsonMO?

GovParsonMO VisitMO Excellent article. Knuckleheadskc is on my list of place to see music! They bring in great bands.

GovParsonMO VisitMO In Missouri new variants spread after Parson the state poorly led. With his head in the sand he’s since held out his hand to request assistance from the federal gov’t, since he can’t stave the pandemic nor Missouri save. FEMA VP

GovParsonMO VisitMO Sadly the only thing Missouri is a hot spot for presently is the COVID delta variant. Don’t count on tourists until you get COVID cases contained. You need to do a better job emphasizing the need for Missouri residents to get vaccinated!

Homeless camps, trash and crime have transformed Venice boardwalk, eluding easy solutionsA plan for how to solve Venice's homeless crisis has emerged from behind-the-scenes talks among a coalition of Venice activists, city officials and deputies of the area's city councilman. Republicans destroy everything they touch. It’s not hard. Offer services and shelter first. Those that refuse get arrested for whatever laws or ordinances they are breaking. Involuntary mental health commitment would help as well. The resources are available to solve this. The political will is not. We’ve all been fed the narrative by politicians that the homeless humanitarian crisis is unsolvable, unfixable, unaffordable. It’s not.
