I think they know that cases will plateau in a few weeks regardless of mask or not masking.

If we're a couple of weeks from the peak, how on earth does it make sense to burden everyone with this mask mandate. UK peaked a few days after -removing- all restrictions and is now headed steadily lower. It worked for them. Let's try it!

Even if you got 100% vaccinated today, you're not fully protected for weeks. They know cases will fall steeply on their own like always. This is such a sham.
So they know about seasonality-but want to take credit. They know 'more' people can't be fully vaccinated in 'a couple weeks' but they also know that many people are too stupid(and/or biased) to care about their lie..

Is the CDC going to post daily updates of the places which have the delta variant surging, requiring the wearing of masks indoors? Or will it be left to the state, county, and township officials who all don't coordinate?

Until the CDC comes out and recommends a vaccine mandate, no one should believe anymore that they are actually taking the seriousness of this pandemic seriously
then we will have to worry about other variant mutations...
