“I just wanted to run good so that I can feed them,” Imali says of her family: Her mother, two siblings, and two orphans she also provides care for. “I was so motivated.” Consistent with Negesa’s account, Imali says she was given little information about the procedures or their consequences. Referring to the hospital’s physicians, she says: “They did not tell me anything concerning my body. After we did every examination, they were just putting the results in the envelope. Then they take that envelope to Athletics Kenya."

They are cisgender, with higher testosterone than women. And that's unfair. But can they compete in the Men's category instead? If lighter boxers can choose to compete in a heavier wt class bc there is no advantage (likely disadvantaged instead), then why not?

there is a reason we have men's and women's sports, look at the records, e.g. 100m sprint, men's 9.58, women's 10.49, no mater how you felt you should have been born if one is physically a man that's an unfair advantage over women. if a sport exist that is gender neutral then ok.

The IOC allows for 5 times the amount of testosterone of a healthy female adult athlete. I feel bad for them but they do have a massive advantage. Men range almost as high as that limit they put.
