Scientists say it 'is cooling and becoming inactive much faster than expected.' 🧐 engineering

The scientific community has long known that the Earth will gradually cool until even the volcanic activity that makes life on our planet possible ceases to exist. Though it will take millennia for this to happen, scientists don't have any way of accurately knowing exactly when the Earth's core will completely cool down and solidify.

To gain a better understanding of our Earth's cooling process, the team of researchers from Carnegie and ETH Zurich decided to investigate bridgmanite, a magnesium silicate or calcium silicate mineral that is abundant in the boundary layer between the Earth's outer core and its lower mantle. The team placed bridgmanite samples in a diamond anvil cell that was then heated using a laser to simulate the high-pressure and high-temperature environment found underneath the Earth's crust.

"Our results could give us a new perspective on the evolution of the Earth’s dynamics," said Motohiko Murakami, a corresponding author of the study explained in ."They suggest that Earth, like the other rocky planets Mercury and Mars, is cooling and becoming inactive much faster than expected."The scientists discovered that bridgmanite was roughly 1.5 times better at conducting heat than previously estimated. This means that heat must transfer more easily from the core to the mantle than had been previously believed. This faster transfer equals a higher cooling rate, meaning the Earth's core will cool down faster than once thought.

Hi, I am a structural engineer from Iran who have many ideas. I have summarized some of my ideas on my twitter(I suggest look at the idea of generating electricity by gravity). I want to work with companies and investors. Do you want to cooperate?

Nothing is eternal in the universe. Everything has a lifecycle whether it’s days, years or centuries all comes to an end! Let’s enjoy the ride for as long as it last! Hope the future generations will be better at treating this beautiful planet of ours.

Earth's Insides Are Cooling Faster Than We Thought, And It Will Mess Things UpEarth formed 4.5 billion years or so ago. Ever since then, it's been slowly cooling on the inside. Not now, Earth guts. We’re still finishing off with the last dramas. Can we just go one week without apocalyptic news? 🙏 “it's possible that Earth will become uninhabitable by other mechanisms long before then. So we might have a bit of time to work more on the problem to figure it out.” You mean, we might NOT.

What is a Satellite?Artificial satellites now number in their hundreds of thousands in orbit around Earth Hi, I am a structural engineer from Iran who have many ideas. I have summarized some of my ideas on my twitter. I want to work with companies and investors. Do you want to cooperate? From the latin satelles and satellitis, used to desigate those soldiers in charge of guarding the king (queen, or others related). Satelles were then 'escorts', as moons escort planets. Also, Venus was once called 'satelles noctes' (night companion) by Cicero. Will we soon be able to have space battles? (Joke)
