Divorces are down. Guess who's driving the trend.

It’s June, one of the most popular months of the year to marry. So perhaps it’s time we talked about divorce. That may sound like a lot of busted unions, but the rate of divorce—just like the rate of marriage—is down.

I’m over 40 and I just divorce avec 20 years together 🤣🤣🤣🤣fuck my life lol

Maybe we are better at life than the boomers

This is really sad and I’m one of those people you would think if you make it that long you could make it but men get better looking and women get uglier it’s just fact. they find a younger women that makes them feel young and they’re off

How much of this trend is due to financial reasons and not affording a divorce? High real estate prices make divorce much harder. The increase in divorce amongst over 55s supports this hypothesis. Couples waiting for their kids to grow up & be in a stronger financial position.

Less people getting married

People are going to change.

Young folks aren’t getting married anymore because they have seen what a disaster it has been for their parents. Rather than lose half their stuff as apenalty for being married. They just live together and then when they split there’s no legal issues.

Boomers still leading all shitty indicators.

Hmmmm. Is it because people aren’t getting married?😜

Consider some 55+ couples are getting divorced to protect assets due to medical/elderly care conditions. The system loves those joint accounts.

Uhhhh, the data in this article doesn’t support the insight. If people are waiting longer to get married, and that’s driving divorce rates down, why are they down the most at the younger age groups?

Black men

Good to know few of the ladies before the magical figure of 55.

“15-24 year olds” smh

Thirty years of better and worse; thick and thin; rich and poor; sickness and health and we are stronger together than ever. Thank you Jesus!

Probably MAGA

Me and my husband! 10 years and several people we know divorces and remarriages and divorces and maybe a third marriage later, we were never married or divorced before we met and have been married for TEN years!

There’s more to life than getting married and having children. That school of thought is now socially acceptable and is driving my generation to get married later. It wasn’t for baby boomers, unfortunately. We learn from past generations and move forward doing the best we can.

Maybe it is dating to find a partner rather than to check an abortion of your bucket list that is causing it.

Abd de evliliklerin geç yapılması boşanma oranında azalmaya neden olmuş. Ancak yaşları daha ileri olanlarda bu oran yüksek

Are marriages down? That would also affect the divorce rate ( can’t be divorced if not married) how many legal splits where there?

Economic uncertainty

Meh, wait until Millennialss turn 40+, then get back to me.

Marriage is drastically down! This is not a good trend. It negatively affects population growth, destroys economies, and destroys the culture. This better end fast, or this country will be heading downward.

Our whole court system revolves around profiteering from divorce and turning dads into axe murderers when they have to pay the mortgage for their ex-wife and the ex-wifes new boyfriend.

*taps forehead* You don't have to get divorced if you never married in the first place.

Jus having commitment rings?

mill in denials are now killing the sanctity of marr i age

senatorjen Milllennials, of course. It's a well known fact that all divorces begin at Applebee's

damnBoomers

Millennials of course.

TLDR, Milenials are killing divorce!

Great

Well it couldn’t possibly be Generation X because we no longer exist

Uber driver yesterday “you have no idea how many girls I drive around that only remain in their relationship bc they literally can’t pay rent. They wish they could get out.” So we’re looking at miserable modern economic choices. Also I talk to Uber drivers.

Divorce is are down because the guys do not want to move back in with Mommy

mcjomcg Mrried couples, presumably.
