Anne, 62, said she was on the verge of a breakdown before the coronavirus lockdown forced everything to a standstill."By the time lockdown came in, I was so burnt out, I’d had something like three colds in the space of five months because I was rushing around from place to place and suddenly having sobbing fits in the car," she told The Daily Express in a new interview.

"There was just so much on my plate, there were so many things I was planning on."I look now at my diary for the beginning of last year and I think, “Well, you kind of were about to have a breakdown.”’In lockdown, the TV quizzer slept in her own bed and enjoyed her own company.

Admittedly the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here star always had the comfort there would be work to go back to.Time at home has given Anne a new lease of life as she gets back to work on her TV projects.She has a hectic diary including filming for The Chase, Beat The Chasers and new show Britain's Brightest Celebrity Family.

Recently, Anne has made no secret of her love of lockdown which many in the UK may struggle to comprehend themselves.The star confessed she really liked not going out while she made the most of doing online quizzes, Zoom quizzes and reading.During a This Morning appearance last year, she told Phillip Schofield: "I have loved lockdown. I don't want it to end, except we'd like to get back in the studio.
