After more than a year of remote work arrangements, CEOs have a message for their staff: Enough

After 16 months of enduring remote work as a viable pandemic-era solution, many CEOs have a message for their staff: Enough.

At healthcare products maker Abbott Laboratories , executives told corporate employees to return to the company’s headquarters near Chicago this month. In Pontiac, Mich., the 200-acre campus of lender United Wholesale Mortgage is full again after the company brought nearly 9,300 employees back five days a week as of mid-July.

Office attendance at CenterPoint Energy Inc., a Houston company that delivers electric power in Texas, is back to pre-pandemic levels. The company told all corporate employees to return to its headquarters downtown in June after asking some

My bosses are saving $$$ on real-estate costs.

No

That picture says it all. White shirt factory floor, and no doubt manager wants to stroll behind them all day with 'constructive advice.'

Did returning to work go hand in hand with mandating vaccines

People are quitting on the spot with these demands. Organizations need to know people realize quality of life is important. Some organizations have a toxic office environment. As bad as Republican politics- demeaning and negative games. Who wants it?

Remote works better for some employees. Why print these opinions. Just leave it to companies to determine the best environment for their workers.

They can go fuck themselves.

Why? ‘Cause they think you having fun at home? Not working? Back in the office doing less and resenting the hell out of it…

And have the nerve to try to convince us that it's for our own good. My company hired a consultant to come up with the messaging. no one actually bought it. Especially since we're switching to shared space during a pandemic and weren't going to mandate vax.

An acquaintance told me her boss offered to let the peons eat in the executive dining room once a month if they would return. Oh, and cookies. Something about cookies in the break room. That’s the incentive bosses think will get employees back into the hellish DC area commute.

Fuck

I think a good number of staff have a message of their own for the CEO’s

Oh boo hoo. Have the middle managers figured out they are as useless as nipples on a man?

And their staff says fu-cough

Tough

Teachers say “Been back for over a year.”

Cuz there is no more pandemic? Cuz we don’t want there to be? That’s sane.

Enough?

It’s about control

Not mine - guess I’m working for the right company,

Much of their investments are in commercial real estate. Do the math.

Well too bad they don’t have a ton of leverage right now

Then maybe the boss should require all employees to be vaccinated. My son has spent the past month working from home in quarantine after 6 employees came down with Covid, one after the other. He shouldn’t be forced to share office space with disease vectors.

Signs of a bad manager. If “attendance” is the only way you have of managing people, you should be demoted.

That’s why every worker should be a labor union member

In my job, many of us must be at work because it physically requires the work be hands on. Some of the people work from home and their are having trouble doing it because of signatures and other things needing to be done in person. So half or more of their was pushed to us. BS.

What the boss wants isn’t as relevant. Maybe the boss needs to address what the people want.

But then some CEOs make so much much money that they can easily afford to buy dicks by the bag, and eat a bag of dicks.

And people are quitting in droves

Too effing bad bruh

All the lazy people in the comments pretending they are actually “working” from home. Fire them! In the end, companies with workers in the office will win.

Why does wsj pay to promote this shit,

Not happening

That’s nice.

Weak puffery on behalf of wealthy interests to threaten workers leverage to obtain a greater sense of work life balance with hybrid schedules. These “CEOs” are overplaying their hand by assuming their studio culture replaces that. If the people remain productive this is just ego.

This country is a joke

It’s not gonna happen. People won’t commute 3-hours a day, 5-days a week, just because the ‘boss’ needs his/her ego stroked, and can micromanage and bully subordinates now that they’re trapped in an office. People tasted freedom and savor the autonomy of working from home.

Never. I have my own business now.

Fuck that shit.

I just started working remotely for a larger company and thankfully they don't have this mindset. They said people who live around offices, they'd maybe want them to come in once per month for a presentation. That's it.

Especially in Los Angeles. They need more people on their highways, commuting to work.

Making people come into the office is a great way to lose all of your talent.

Good luck to him. The dot com revolution proved remote working & alternative offices could work 20 years ago. If he’s not on board, he should do the world a favor & retire.

Our organization vastly expanded telework and is making most of it permanent. Largely useless executives cock-walking in front of huddled cube masses is part of the past, not the future. I couldn't be happier

The labor market is tight and more progressive companies are offering this option especially when it makes zero sense for a person to drive into an office when they can do their work at home. Workers have a message for CEO stuck in the past: Good luck finding good employees.

I get so much more done from home! 🏡 No more hour commute so I start working as soon as I shuffle into the living room. No more people stopping by my desk. I don’t have to go out for lunch. It’s pure heaven.

WSJ carrying water for their pals that are about to be stuck with a shit load of office space no one wants.

Um, no.

This should not last. All of the statistics indicate differently.

This article is not at all true, many are encouraging work from home , permanently, they gain more profit, less expense, less sick days, stop with your agenda shoving and calling it news

Probably because...

Yes, get into the office as being in-person builds camaraderie…also your job is now being offshored to India

These rich boomers have to sniff everyone's asses up close like dogs or they get depressed. Good thing we don't give a fuck what they want.

Companies that adapt will flourish, those that don’t will die off.

Uh. No.

That's right. How can these CEOs over see their minions from their mezzanine if they are all working from home?

Create your own business. Invest, save, travel. Enjoy life!

Do you hear the people sing? Singing a song of angry men? It is the music of a people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes!

A couple of these CEO’s need to get intubated

Abbott is losing workers like crazy. Why, because they are inflexible. Office workers proved to be more efficient and effective at home. But bosses want “eyes” on the employees for absolute control. Despite their mandatory on site and at home testing there are Covid infections.

CEOs should forgo their extra millions in bonus pay & corporations should start paying their fair share in taxes. Until then, bosses & corps owe their WORKERS & the American TAXPAYERS, & must do whatever it takes to make it easier for WORKERS to WORK This ain’t it, WSJ.

Hilarious that this is a promoted tweet.

🖕🏻🖕🏻

kiss my grits, CEOs

Tell Delta “enough.”

Family member is a systems analyst for a huge corporation and their team is scattered across the globe. Sitting in a cubicle away from home makes no sense, considering their ongoing dedication to their work and their level of geekness.

Aaaand there’s delta. Like, now.

I read that 40% of workers want to return to the office full time and only 31% want full time remote. The rest want a hybrid situation. Just because the Twitterverse is in favor of something doesn’t make it true.

I’m interested to know whether all of these CEOs will be in the office full time as well. No working from the beach house.

Boss scared to lose job?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Enough with the industrial revolution 8 hour work days, enough with the pointless and in most casses unnecessary going to the office! Enough with corporate America dictating how we live!

I don’t care where they go. Just GO TO WORK! Every single business in my town is hiring. People collecting unemployment and living sweet. People who really can do better. Shameful. Lazy.

your boss hopes by now YouGotTheMessage PoliticallySanctionedMobs TyrannicalPsychoticAssaults it doesnt matter if the chipshortage is real, Equity demands you to give up your CellPhone doesnt matter if pandemic is real or the election or the emergencies Tyranny

Tell him I said to fuck off.

There’s power in numbers and CEOs can’t come up with the numbers they need for this BS.

Well maybe Corporate Americans should insist their employees get vaccinated.

Vaccinate everyone then!

Turns out the staff has a few messages of their own for the CEO.

Then have they spent the last year doing something about workplace VENTILATION?

Feck off, boss. MY boss wants us to be safe.

Bs

This is stupid.

How many prioritized improvements in the ventilation systems in offices?

Nope.

Sign of poor managers who manage by “butts in the seats” while ignoring increased productivity and employee satisfaction. Saw it in my law department before retiring.

Screw the boss 😂

Not my boss! 😁😷

Do bosses have control issues?

Based on chats with real bosses, not happening.

Okay, Boomer newspaper.

Why are you promoting this article when you have multiple articles with an opposing message? -

We have a “boss” here that only walks around and talks to people. He is so upset more people aren’t in the office. F-him.

More people infected with Covid where my husband works now than ever before. No way.

And to those CEO’s: FO

I honestly feel that perhaps we are seeing the end of an era, an era where the world looks to America for guidance in all things. The trust factor is rapidly diminishing.

Do they realize the companies are still exsist until now eventhough their staffs have been working from home or remotely?

Likely there will be double standards, single people will need to go back, certain other categories and woke types and brats in general will expect more leave privileges because oppressed (lawyers might be on the case already)

Those CEO's are lame and deserve to lose top talent to competitors with remote or hybrid options.

Likely there will be double standards, single people will need to go back, certain other categories and woke types will expect more leave privileges because oppressed (lawyers might be on the case already.

a lot of bosses have no identity except “boss” and need the fawning of their subordinates to get their kicks. plus the higher up u go, the less u actually do, so they get antsy and need to see their workers. then tie in the fact that they prob don’t want to be stuck home w/family

Of course, they do....but the retirees want their golf course back.

Perfect timing. During the delta variant upswing.

Good luck with that

There is never too much safety.

Force me back in I’ll quit.

Let's create a work life balance.

The employees are also saying 'enough' and leaving such shit leaders and their companies in droves. There is no purpose of going to office except wasting time on traffic jams and money on transport. If you could run a year with no one in office, then that's what is needed more!

Clickbait

Lol 😆 control freaks freaking out

Desperately putting pressure on everyone else to not allow the service and retail industries to fail...

Enter To Win !

They don't think you're working if they can't watch you.

Have those CEOs paid for UV sterilization lights to be refitted into the office HVAC during the past 16 months?

Employees are in the driver’s seat for the first time. Remote work has created opportunities for everyone to be able to apply for jobs and better pay anywhere. Stop shilling for corporate bosses who demand employees sit at a desk 9-5 just so the bosses look like they are working

Not muy boss

it is inaccurate to say that these pieces are worthless, as they give edzitron and cwarzel such great material

Hope these employees find more compassionate employers. Bosses are not in charge any longer. Live your life safer and better by allowing remote workers or lose them all.

Except according to Israel, your vaccine immunity wanes after 6-7 months so… here we go again.

Iya iyaaa

Dreaming…

A rousing “testimonial” (har har) to reassure any potential clients of Fifth Third Bancorp for how prepared they are in this 21st Century work world, per Greg D. Carmichael, chief executive and chairman

The level of service has declined across the board since remote work began. While workers may think they're more productive, I'd really like to see some hard data to prove it. It's time to get that vaccine and go back. Service, medical, and education have managed to.

Finally

They want you back there making them money Farrahkan words peopleorProphets Profits Dividends [dividetheEnds=Profits] Pachamama G;Dx🖤
