TheBatman art imagines Dane Dehaan as a terrifying version of iconic DC villain Scarecrow.

New fan art imagines actor Dane Dehaan as the Scarecrow in a sequel to The Batman. The Batman is the most recent adaptation of the classic DC comic book character to hit the big screen. This time around, the Caped Crusader is played by Robert Pattinson, whose interpretation of the character is the first live-action iteration to appear completely separate of the DCEU since Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy.

Of course, in the wake of The Batman's success, many are wondering what else Reeve's Bat-verse has to offer. While Reeves has indicated that he wants to take a break from Batman for a while, the director has still said that he would like to eventually return for a sequel to the film.

Dehaan is, of course, no stranger to comic book villains, having portrayed the Green Goblin in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It is also worth noting that Dehaan has recently been cast in the film Oppenheimer, which will be directed by Nolan, who was the last director to bring Scarecrow to the big screen in Batman Begins. If ever the filmmakers behind The Batman wanted to make Dehaan's Scarecrow a reality, he is in a prime position to get all the advice he needs.

While Dehaan's appearance as the Scarecrow is still currently just a fantasy, VENOMHOLOGY's art certainly shows that since the release of The Batman, fans are hungry for more. While Reeves wanting to take a step back from the project is understandable given the number of setbacks the film had due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many fans are hoping he won't stay away for too long.
