Despite public health warnings and the growing number of hospitalizations, Americans continue to travel across the country to celebrate Thanksgiving.

Old traditions are being tested and new ones made on Thursday as Americans celebrate Thanksgiving amid the first pandemic in a century and concerns grow over a possible post-holiday surge.

Cassidy Zerkle, 25, flew from Phoenix to Kansas City, Missouri for the holiday, steadfast in her desire to see her loved ones. “As long as you’re maintaining your distance, you’re not touching stuff and you’re sanitizing your hands, people should see their families right now.”

It sucks that your influence is minuscule now, doesn't it. You're fakenews blather is heard by fewer and fewer people

😢

This isn’t going to end well 😒😒

As they should.... Not going to shame us into staying in our basements!

We need just to wait this out, just a little bit longer. Then we can return to normalcy. Just a couple more years. Be patient. BidenHarris2020

The injustice in this scene is that one of the people didn't eat the Salmon Mousse but death took everyone at the dinner party anyways. Americans are much worse. Americans will come over to your house & shove the Salmon Mousse in your mouth to make sure that you die too.

BS. Travel is way below 2019. fakenews.

THE VIDEO DEMOCRATS DON’T WANT YOU TO SEE!! THETRUTH

Maybe if the Trump CDC hadn’t behaved in their typical chaotic, clownish manner by waiting until the week before Thanksgiving (after people had already scheduled time off from work and purchased their plane tickets) to issue the warning, it might have been taken more seriously.

I fail to understand the glut of people who traveled for this holiday, especially those who packed the airports. 😖😡

When you travel to other countries you already realize how selfish Americans are, this solidifies it. notproudtobeamerican

NBC covid scolds

Selfish people. I am spending the day alone in MD; my granddaughter is alone in NY; and the rest of my daughter's family is in WA. We made the decision to protect ourselves & others by staying put. Today's travelers are almost guaranteeing a miserable Christmas for all!

Jane Fonda called the COVID-19 pandemic 'God's gift to the Left.' that tells the opportunism of the Democratic Party. Do they care about the 200K+ Americans, or do they consider these unfortunate victims to be props to use in the anti-Trump drama they subject us to day after day?

A big mistake. Stats in 1 - 2 weeks will show effect.

That's is very true Day. Of Thanksgiving Country Americans. Of Day. And I Thank you

Americans are basically ignorant apparently.... sigh.....
