Texas turns to prison labor to help cover face mask shortages

Prisoners in a unit at Gatesville Correctional Facility, a women's prison located about 120 miles south of Dallas, have been producing the masks for about a week and will continue for at least the next week, he said. The biggest concern is that there are hospital workers who are currently without the proper PPE. They're being told to use masks like these or bandanas, which are not the proper protection if you're trying to mitigate the spread of the virus. FlipFlopsontheFrontline
