This family in Euless, Texas, has been without power for 72 hours. Here's how they are staying warm.Timothy Wilsey, his wife Nicole and his 7-year-old son have been without power for 72 hours, and they have been forced to use their cars for warmth and to charge battery packs and phones, “their only lines of communication.”“We are keeping busy by going old school and reading books and playing board games,” he told CNN by text message from Euless, a suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth.

“We are mostly laying under covers in bed,” Timothy said. “The only time we leave the bed is to go to the car to warm up or charge the phones and battery packs.”

Society is completely dependent on electricity and technology. It is unbelievable that a state could be so unprepared for a very realistic threat.

How can I move to Arizona?

And hey, CNN, guess who just jetted off to Cancun?

Chief Acevedo for Governor!💙

GregAbbott_TX is a POS Texas is experiencing a humanitarian crisis. People are burning furniture to heat their homes, melting snow to flush their toilets, risking carbon monoxide poisoning to protect their children. If Texas was a country, we would call it a “failed state.”

LMAO an hour?!?! It’s been 68 hours!

The BBC article says that China controls the weather. This lie sounds so absurd. Even the Chinese ridiculed that: Maybe China has a better relationship with God, and let it cool down Texas, just like the saying in Chinese mythology '奉旨下雨'

I have had no water since Monday afternoon (zip code 78109). My parents have no power or water. Most stores and restaurants are closed.

I still love him. And here’s the worst part. I want him back.

It should be against the law to shut off peoples power. You are killing people !!

Yes 65+ hour long outages.

POTUS VP CNNPolitics Send FEMA to TEXAS STAT! 🇺🇸Americans are running out of food, no water, and children and families are freezing to death...THIS IS INHUMANE! CNN

Could? That is old news. Been happening since Monday and it’s much longer than an hour

People haven’t had power in 4 days!!!! They are freezing to death. Help them by reporting the truth or STFU.

It's a really bad situation, but Texas should have a shared power grid to supply power to other states when there is an excess & to import power when there is a shortage, but, that's the way it is, Welcome to Texas! 👍❄️⛄️

I bet the rich people that live there don’t have to experience power outages.

It’s been way longer than that for us. 72 hours. Then five ofpower and put again for 3 and counting

Going on 20+ hours without power in freezing temperatures! An hour would be a welcome change- believe it when I see it!

Hoà đồng, tự chủ về tài chính. Thích dựa dẫm nhưng có mục tiêu và hướng đi rõ ràng trong cuộc sống.

Our pool in Katy Texas. 56 hours without power and now a boil water notice.

We’d love to experience hour long intervals. We’ve had no power since Sunday night at 11pm. No water, no power. And no it’s not wind turbines. Quit with the misinformation Greg Abbott and FoxNews.

Continuous no electricity for 62 hours in Austin.

Texas

I think 78252 would gladly take rolling power outaged for an hour as opposed to the 36 hours we have been without now.

Look at the ghetto email we got from San antonio water system. We still have no water. MySAWS

CNN, get it right. Some of us in San Antonio have been without power for days now; I mean 'not a minute worth of electricity for days'...

I would love to be without power for one hour right now. Had nothing since Monday lunch.

I know people who haven't had power for DAYS here. Now we don't have water!!! All of the downtown city buildings have their lights & heating on 24/7, but we're supposed to keep all the lights off, not use our electric appliances & turn our thermostats down.. Those who have power
