Public health leaders in Morrow County, a farming region in northeastern Oregon with one of the highest COVID-19 infection rates, said they had to delay two vaccine clinics because of the state’s decision. Other rural counties delayed vaccines for seniors.
The criticism drew an angry rebuke from Republican Gov. Mike Parson, who said vaccine distribution has been proportional to the population and critics are using “cherry-picked” data. In Nashville, Democratic Mayor John Cooper says the fact that city residents can get shots elsewhere is a positive, even if the road trips are “a little bit of a pain.”
wait a minute! But how did the vaccine get to Israel from the USA and for free, if the USA lacks it for everyone?
On the bright side, they get far more representation in the Senate. :/ Seriously, shots go to where people are, especially where people come in to contact all the time.

They are mad that the vaccine is going to where people live lol
Well that would make sense considering city/urban areas are more congested with people
Makes sense
Not in Oklahoma! Here, no one in the rural areas is taking the vaccine! We R predominantly Republican white ppl, anti-mask, anti-vaccine
Lol
so many conflicting stories...people dont want to take them...people are fighting over them.....which is it?
AP, did you read your own article. The information is the linked article isn't really consistent with the summary here. The article primarily suggests that seniors in urban areas are having to go to rural parts of their states where vaccines are readily available.
Because City folk can't social distance like rural folks can. Also, the temperature requirements just changed so this, coupled with a more robust supply, should change this.
In Missouri, not only are they going to republican-voting rural areas, the people there won’t take them
Yeah, welcome to all logistics.
Vaccine? ... For a 'fake' virus? Don't be silly.
Oh...poor you....you have all the space in the world
NastyOldWomyn In Jan, folks in rural counties didn't take the vaccine. People in urban/suburban areas drove to those areas and used the supply before it was discarded. Perhaps rural folks can ask their GOP reps to help with supply distribution. Make this a national thing.
What are they crying about? They don’t believe in it anyway!
Hey, people in urban areas can’t get shots either!
I'd love to live out in the middle of nowhere, but there are advantages to urban living, and one of them is access to services like healthcare.
