TCU linebacker Dee Winters runs back an interception for a touchdown against Michigan during the second half of the Fiesta Bowl NCAA college football semifinal playoff game, Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, in Glendale, Ariz. Word has spread in recent days to wear purple, TCU’s school colors, in support of Winters. The monthly school board meeting scheduled for Monday, the day of the national championship game, has been moved up an hour so folks can get home and watch the game.

The roots of Burton can be traced to the Houston & Texas Central Railroad that ran through Washington County in the 1870s. Each April, residents gather for the Cotton Gin Festival, a celebration of the town’s rich cotton history.

“We were so close,” Hodde said. “I just wish he could’ve got a state championship but it’s pretty neat watching him play for a national title now.” “We don’t have a track,” Smith recalls replying. “We never timed 40s. All I can tell you is he’s never been caught.” There are about 300 students from pre-K to 12th grade, including Winters’ twin sisters, Ciara and Tiara, 11th-graders who play on the basketball team. Winters’ 2019 graduating class numbered 27

Allen investigators told FOX 4 someone allegedly spray-painted the n-word on the garage. Mike Jr. was the starting quarterback for Allen High School's powerhouse football team, and he's heavily recruited. Any suspects? It's so hard to belive people could really be this hateful.
