Quite making errors on your tax return, you won't have issues. One minor error can turn a 3-6 week routine refund into a 6-12 month needless wait... Better yet, quite loaning the government interest free money, decrease the amount of withholding to less than a hundred of tax owed

As a retired IRSer who began his career in 1965, I'm sad to inform you that these problems are solidly rooted in a declining IRS culture--poor management, internal politics, social hiring (contrasted to merit hiring), hiring cuts by an axe rather than a scalpel and so on.
