Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, at start of her second term, signals she will push ahead with efforts to bolster the island’s international standing

In her inaugural address on Wednesday, Ms. Tsai reiterated Taiwan’s rejection of China’s efforts to assimilate the island, which Beijing claims as its territory. But she offered to work with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to stabilize relations in ways that respect.

The United States stands with Taiwan !!!

I really support her. But some of my Taiwanese friends belong to KMT.

China demands countries with embassies from Taiwan to close them before they will do business. The Embassy staff are then given 24 hours to leave the country.

The 'One China' principle is now null and void.

This is like calling the governor of NY the president. People just laugh at WSJ.

Taiwan isn't a member of WHO and they are doing fantastic.

She should be the first foreign leader invited to the White House when travel is restored.
