WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court will hear arguments Dec. 1 in Mississippi’s bid to have the landmark Roe v. Wade decision guaranteeing a woman’s right to an abortion overturned.Mississippi is asking the high court to uphold its ban on most abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy. The state has told the court it should overrule Roe and the 1992 decision in Planned Parenthood v.

, warning that stripping constitutional protection from abortion would be devastating to female athletes. The group includes Crissy Perham, an Olympic gold medalist in swimming who said she was speaking publicly about her abortion for the first time. The Mississippi law was enacted in 2018, but was blocked after a federal court challenge. The state’s only abortion clinic, Jackson Women’s Health Organization, remains open and offers abortions up to 16 weeks of pregnancy. I always think it's so laughable that it's the same EXACT people that say 'my body, my choice' when it comes to the vaccine that want to take my right to my body away from me... The irony doesn't even penetrate that bone helmet y'all got around the walnut rattling around up there

Tune in

We already know how this is going to end.

Praise the lord for a woman’s right to choose! 😇

So they want to take freedoms away from women like the Taliban do? Hmm...makes me think that Mississippi wants Sharia law.

Silver lining. Most of Mississippians can’t read, so the change in law won’t affect them going to the aborshun klinik every 6 weeks

Millions women march... ..

We still don't know WhoOwnsKavanaugh

An overturn will cause unprecedented chaos amongst women and the right to control their lives. Just another bid to take away freedoms of Americans. Guns will be next if this happens because, why not.

wow

Ah yes, regression is on the way. If only Congress could do something about this and voting rights and infrastructure and everything else we voted them in for. demsneedtoact

Death begins at birth in Mississippi

Roe V. Wade must remain. Government has no right. And for the religious argument about it, we have separation of church and state in this nation or did you forget

We let the republicans pack the court with corrupt , partisan republican agents.

If SCOTUS overturns ROE, then we need to challenge the 2nd amendment.

Access to healthcare shouldn’t be in the hands of the Supreme Court.

500 US women athletes ask Supreme Court to uphold abortion rightsA decorated group of more than 500 current and former American women Olympians and professional and collegiate athletes is warning the Supreme Court that eroding access to abortion care in America will be 'devastating' to women's athletics at all levels. Farts here. I always knew athletic girls liked to get down bareback. Doesn’t their brief support the argument that abortion is used as birth control? That’s really stupid. One should have nothing to do with the other. If these ladies say it does, it’s all about their overinflated egos.
