Supreme Court appears divided over LGBTQ job discrimination.

The court's conservatives were skeptical, many noting that sexual orientation was not on the mind of anyone in Congress when the civil rights law was passed 55 years ago.

With the court so divided, the controlling vote could turn out to be Justice Neil Gorsuch, a Trump appointee, who seemed receptive to the argument that no matter what Congress had in mind in 1964, the words of the law would apply to sexual orientation, if not transgender status as well. But Gorsuch also wondered whether the court should “take into consideration the massive social upheaval that would be entailed” in a decision that Title VII covers sexual orientation.Bostock has said he has no doubt why he was dismissed from the county job he held for a decade."I was fired for being gay. I lost everything. I lost my livelihood. I lost my source of income. I lost my medical insurance," he said., a reversal from the position the Obama administration took.

Why is this even before the court. Unbelievable in 2019.

Discrimination at any level in the work place or anywhere else for that matter is abominable

You’d have to be a disgusting human being to think you should be able to fire someone for who they choose to love. Half this court needs to be impeached. The conservative judges who vote for this are awful people ruining lives in the name of religious ignorance.

This is crazy in 2019.

This country is an embarrassment

God damn man seriously this isn't that fuckin difficult.

This discrimination should not even have been brought to this level. All of us should be ashamed as to where this country is going. I’m disgusted with humanity right now. Everyone has a right to be exactly who they were born to be.

i want to know who is going to protect the righteous from the deviant abuse ? I see righteous being fired for speaking out to protect the children’s rights to a childhood

There’s already a law against it.

Spoiler alert - Gorsuch was already on the bench. KAVANAUGH is the swing vote on this. Someone tell TheEllenShow

Dividing up the mixed up letters is good.

The Supreme Court is divided over discrimination in America. This is where we are.

😪😪😪

I'm going to start an LGBTQ religion if it rules against us so that we can use religious freedom laws to avoid getting discriminated against.

It's a queer decision.

Ridiculousness.
