A new study ties the pandemic to an “alarming” increase in obesity in U.S. children and teenagers. Researchers say obesity increased most dramatically in kids ages 6 to 11, who may have been more affected when schools suspended in-person classes.

NEW YORK — A new study ties the COVID-19 pandemic to an “alarming” increase in obesity in U.S. children and teenagers. The results signal a “profound increase in weight gain for kids” and are “substantial and alarming,” said one of the study’s authors, Dr. Alyson Goodman of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Obesity the number one comorbidity for COVID . . .

I guarantee majority of the parents also fall in this range. Maybe the parents should be a little more active with the kids and stop feeding them junk.

No way 😱, you’re telling me when families did it have much money due to the pandemic, they were forced to buy unhealthy foods for their children and not get much exercise do to social distancing which ultimately led to an increase in obesity 😱😱

I think the researchers might be bringing their own implicit biases. Why are the mass shooting mainly going up in areas that have attacked, or defunded, their police force? Hmm?
