“This new cap is just exacerbating the problem,” Emily E. Arnold-Fernández, President and CEO of Asylum Access told. “At a time when Mexico’s asylum system is overwhelmed with people who need safety, the U.S. is limiting the number of people it will help and making it almost impossible to seek safety within its borders.”
