Pandering to fans is a mistake. So is insulting their intelligence and disrespecting them as your paying customers.

Isn't this at least 3 days old now?

He is right , and some Star Wars fans needs to learn their life doesn’t end because They didn’t like a movie.

rianjohnson messed up the new trilogy too much in LastJedi which to date is the worst StarWars movie ever. Despite a hard effort and better than Last Jedi, StarWarsTheRiseofSkywalker as a result cannot redeem the new trilogy making it the worst trilogy ever.

I'm 100% on the same page as Johnson, who made a non-pandering SW film in an age when there's now a toxic, vocal contingent that demands to be pandered to & incapable of civil disagreement over space wizard movied

Last Jedi the best of the new trilogy

I feel like Rian gets hate for pushing gender politics in TLJ, but it’s Disney who want to please the weird far left people.

Not just a mistake- its corrosive if pandering means cowering to audiences who: 1)Demand that the Asian female lead have a smaller role. 2)Need an explanation for why a female character could be so strong. 3)Need to see an abusive white guy save the girl bc 'he was good along'.

After seeing this mess of a film, he's right. Rise of Skywalker just craps the bed tenfold.

Pandering is always a mistake
